Scotland’s Rainforest restoration discussed at 2 English Conferences

Dr Hannah Rudman presented the Alliance for Scotland’s Rainforest’s (ASR) work at the British Ecological Society’s annual conference in Liverpool during December, and in Cardiff during November at the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management Autumn conference.

Together with ecologist Julia McCarthy at CIEEM, Hannah presented how the ASR creates successful projects that align governance and practices across a wider (national) programme of work in the keynote session. 200 practitioners were in attendance and asked questions after the talk and in breaks.

At BES, Hannah updated the case study on Natural Capital Finance she’s first delivered in Davos at the World Biodiversity Forum earlier in the year. Again, the audience enjoyed seeing the animals of the Glencripesdale Rainforest Reserve “caught” on camera (trap)!
